Kitchen Installation Tips

How to Build a House

  1. Use the correct screws. We recommend pan head screws for wall attaching and 2 1/2 grk screws for attaching cabinets together.
  2. Adjust hinges on all doors for proper alignment. Shipping will always cause movement.
  3. Adjust drawer and glides before applying countertop.
  4. Appliances should be on site at installation. Though 84" is standard height for hanging wall cabinets, if 84 1/2 tightens look of refrigerator, why not?
  5. Finished deck height is 36" in most cases. Average backsplash is 4", but postform varies from 3-4 1/2"
  6. Wood appliances panels and cabinet accessories should be installed in cabinets before assembling kitchen.
  7. Trim around kitchen windows is always a flex point. Adjust to current design if necessary.
  8. Order cabinets to arrive when you need them. Storing them contributes to damage and complicates damage replacement.
